Waiting for Night in the Garden of Dreams

///Waiting for Night in the Garden of Dreams

This drawing kicked my ass for 4 days. I lightened it, darkened it and lightened it again. I drew a bathing suit on her, but she cast it off. I drew a wall around the water, thinking it was a pool… realised it wasn’t a pool, but a river… and the moment I knew that, it burst its banks and threatened to sweep the trees away. It still wasn’t right, but I didn’t know what “right” would look like, so this is how I left it, with our heroine, waiting in vain for a long ago night which never happened.
