Animated Fine Art Drawings?

//Animated Fine Art Drawings?

Above: a very basic animation based on my drawing, Waiting for the Water Taxi

I spent a few hours last night, playing around in PhotoShop… and discovered how to create a very rudimentary animation from one of my recent drawings. This animated gif only has 7 frames, hence the jittery movement. I’d have to spend a lot more time and create many more frames, with a progression of very subtle differences from first to last, in order to create a more convincing final product.

Left: an animation I created in 2011 from 5 separate charcoal drawings.

I’m not sure where I’m going with this as yet, but I do very much love the idea of bringing my drawings to life with motion.
